q-deformed pairing vibrations.
Boson creation operators constructed from linear combinations of qdeformed zero coupled nucleon pair operators acting on the nucleus (A,0), are used to derive pp-RPA equations. The solutions of these equations are the pairing vibrations in (A+2) nuclei. For the 01 and 0 + 2 states of the nucleus 208Pb, the variations of relative energies and transfer cross-sections for populating these states v...
متن کاملDependence of the 1S0 superfluid pairing gap on nuclear interactions
Nucleon-nucleon (NN) interactions are well constrained for relative momenta k 2 fm−1 by existing scattering data [1]. The model dependences for larger momenta can be seen, for instance, in the P2 superfluid pairing gaps for Fermi momenta kF > 2 fm−1 [2]. In Ref. [3], we study in detail the dependence of the S0 superfluid gap on nuclear interactions at the BCS level, and on the resolution scale....
متن کاملNuclear pairing gap: how low can it go?
The pairing gap for 53Ca obtained from new experimental data on the masses of (52-54)Ca has the smallest value yet observed. This is explained in the framework of the nuclear shell model with schematic and realistic Hamiltonians as being due to shell gaps around the low-j orbital 1p(1/2). Minima in the pairing gaps for all nuclei are shown and discussed.
متن کاملStudy of Giant Pairing Vibrations with neutron-rich nuclei
We investigate the possible signature of the presence of giant pairing states at excitation energy of about 10 MeV via two-particle transfer reactions induced by neutron-rich weakly-bound projectiles. Performing particle-particle RPA calculations on Pb and BCS+RPA calculations on Sn, we obtain the pairing strength distribution for two particles addition and removal modes. Estimates of two-parti...
متن کاملElectrostatic mapping of nuclear pairing.
The traditional nuclear pairing problem is shown to be in one-to-one correspondence with a classical electrostatic problem in two dimensions. We make use of this analogy in a series of calculations in the tin region, showing that the extremely rich phenomenology that appears in this classical problem can provide interesting new insights into nuclear superconductivity.
